Steven J. Semmelmayer
Chief Executive Officer
Steve is a 32-year veteran of the dental industry.  Prior to joining DenMat, Steve was the Chief Executive Officer of Discus Dental, LLC, a market-leading manufacturer and distributor of oral hygiene, small equipment, and tooth-whitening products operating in more than 100 countries.  Steve was the Discus CEO from November 2008 until January 2011, when Discus merged with Koninklijke Philips Electronics.
 
From 2006 to October 2008, Steve served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of LED Medical Diagnostics, a company dedicated to the early detection of oral cancer.  From 1979 to 2006, Steve served in various capacities with Sybron Dental Specialties, a Danaher company, and global manufacturer of professional medical and dental products, including President, Professional Dental, from 2000 to 2006, President, Kerr Corp., from 1996 to 2000 and General Manager, Kerr Corp., from 1993 to 1996.
 
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.

Robert Cartagena
Chief Operating Officer
Robert is an 18-year veteran of the dental industry.  He began his career with Discus Dental and was an integral part of its first sales team during the company's start-up phase in 1993. Over the course of 18 years, Robert held senior management positions in global sales, marketing, R&D, and business development.  In 2008, Robert was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Discus and served in that capacity until the company's merger with Philips. From its founding until 2011, Robert was responsible for Discus's expansion into key foreign markets, the introduction of some of the industry's most widely-recognized brands, as well as the development and execution of the company's acquisition and integration strategy. Robert brings a wide range of expertise and experience in dentistry to the DenMat team.   
 
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from Nova Southeastern University.

Todd J. Tiberi
Chief Administrative Officer
Prior to joining DenMat, Todd served as Discus’s General Counsel and as a Business Development executive. Todd spearheaded multiple acquisitions and led the company through its merger with Philips.  He also managed the company’s worldwide intellectual property portfolio, including procurement, licensing, and enforcement. Prior to this position, Todd spent several years practicing law in the New York office of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP.  In addition to his extensive M&A experience, Todd has a broad legal background encompassing intellectual property, general corporate law, contracts, employment matters, and litigation.  
 
Todd holds law degrees from Columbia University and the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon.
