Allegro High-Intensity LED FAQs
Weighs only 12 ounces.
The Allegro will cure over 24 of the most popular restorative composites. Almost any bonding agent using CQ or PPD will also cure with the Allegro. The high power and wide spectral output allows the Allegro to cure a wide range of restorative composites completely and confidently.
QC Department research has shown the Allegro cured 24 composites in 10 seconds to a minimum of 2mm deep according to the CRA barcol hardness test criteria. Optimal results were achieved with the Virtuoso Advance Restoratives, which will cure in 5-7 seconds.
The battery will last for over 300 ten-second exposures with no decrease in curing power.
The TIR (Total Internal Reflector) technology is created by the construction of a traditional looking black clad glass tip. The TIR tip collimates for increased intensity of the light while maintaining a large diameter curing area. This allows the tip to produce a high power output that gives the Allegro its compatibility for curing so many restoratives.
We recommend charging the battery at the beginning of each day. Since the battery is lithium-ion there are no power robbing characteristics of nickel cadmium. Each battery provides at least 300 ten second exposures if you were to run it continually – with no loss of curing power.
The Allegro LED reduces curing time to 10 seconds from 15-20 for the average halogen light. Also, the Allegro has a broader spectrum and is more powerful for curing than a traditional halogen light.
