DenMat Lab easily accepts intraoral scans from clinicians using digital scanning systems that have the ability to utilize the open STL format for all restorations including Lumineers®, LumiZir® Crowns, Snap-On Smile® and all crown and bridge work. Having the ability to accept intraoral scans provides inherent advantages including greater predictability and accuracy and instantaneous data transfers to our lab. By eliminating inbound shipping and the need to create and digitize a model, you shorten turn-around time while saving money and resources.

3. Track Case

DenMat offers our Lab Online portal to track the progress of your cases and serve as a communication tool between your office and our lab. In order to use Lab Online, you must first register or sign in then enter your case into the online system.

  

In order to track a case in the portal, the case must first be entered in the portal. To track a case not entered into the portal you must call the lab. Once we receive and review your cases, they will automatically be updated and you will receive email notifications until delivery. Lab Online does not take the place of one-on-one communication with our technical team; it is simply to keep you informed. Accepted Digital Impression Systems

iTero® Element
As standard with most scanning systems, you must add the DenMat Lab as your provider to create a link between your iTero Scanner and DenMat Lab. Contact iTero/Align Customer Service directly to add the DenMat Laboratory (Align Customer ID 1856) into your scanner. Upon restart of the iTero software you should see DenMat Lab in the Ship to dialogue box upon creating a new case. Follow the steps provided by iTero to submit your scans. For Snap On Smile your models must be printed by DenMat. (Associated printing fees are covered by DenMat.)

3M™ True Definition Scanner
As standard with most scanning systems, you must add the DenMat Lab as your provider to create a link between your 3M True Definition Scanner and DenMat Lab. Contact 3M Product Support directly to add the DenMat Laboratory to your system. Since we design from the models and not directly from the scans, model fees apply. There is no doubt that by sending digital scans your process is faster saving you valuable time and money.

TRIOS® 3Shape
Use 3Shape Communicate™ to send your TRIOS/3Shape digital impressions to DenMat Laboratories. This system makes it easy to customize your order fields, making future orders of similar types even faster and easier. Our master technicians typically receive your scans shortly after submission allowing us to immediately begin your case. Model fees apply however there is no doubt that by sending digital scans your process is faster saving you valuable time and money. Once completed, you will be notified of reviews prior to producing your final work up.

Dentsply Sirona
To use the Sirona/CEREC® scanning system, simply upload your data into the Sirona Connect portal. Upon receiving the scans, we will print the models. Though model printing fees apply, there is no doubt that by sending digital scans your process is faster saving you valuable time and money. In addition to uploading your scans, the system will prompt you to send additional scans and information as recommended for the desired results.

Carestream
As an open .stl format, there is no charge for using the Sirona Connect to transmit impression data to the DenMat Laboratories. Carestream CS 3500, 3600 and 3700 users can enjoy easy operation, powder-free scanning, and 3-D images in natural color.

Submitting Other STL Format Files

  • Email your STL files to: laborders@denmat.com

  • To send larger files you may upload via the Lab Online portal. Alternatively, you may use DropBox, WeTransfer, or several other secure file transfer websites.

  • Be sure to include a scan of the Prescription or New Case form with STL files since these files will only contain scans of the model.

  • As will most scans, model fees apply however there is no doubt that by sending digital scans your process is faster saving you valuable time and money.

Scanning for Snap-On Smile

  • In the ‘notes’ section please indicate which arch is required in the Snap-on Smile treatment

Scanning for Lumineers

  • Identify individual teeth to be restored (Quadrants are not acceptable)

Scanning for LumiZir and all Crown & Bridge

  • Select the proper Case Type for restorations or occlusion needed

  • Under ‘Case Type’ select from ‘Full Arch, Quadrant, or Expanded.

  • Please select tooth #s, materials, case design, follow Rx, etc.
